Summer/Schools' Series Event 3

• 16 Mar 2025. Start times, 10:30am to 12pm.

• Planner Sam Bixley (UCOC)

• Event Centre - Bethune's Gully picnic area.  We have booked the BBQs and will have some sausages going to celebrate our final event for the series.  You are welcome to bring your own food to cook on the BBQ.

• Parking in the Forrester Park lower car park on Norwood Street.

• There is limited parking at Bethune's Gully, you may need to park some distance (~1km) away.

• Course Closure 2pm – Controls will be collected from 2pm

• Courses:
  Easy/White – 1.5km
  Medium/Yellow – 1.8km
  Hard/Orange – Students – 2.7km

Hard/Orange – Adults – 3.0 km

•  Special Note: The expected winning time for all courses is ~30 minutes. However, history shows that the nature of the terrain and course setting for the harder courses means that some people will take up to 2 hours to complete their courses. For organization, event logistics and safety, those who run a yellow course won’t be able to run a longer/harder course afterwards.

• Registrations close Mid-night on Wednesday 12 March, but we will take registrations on the day.

Otago Schools' Champs / OY1

• 30 Mar 2025. Classic: at Pyramids, Dick Rd, Otago Peninsula.
  2-3 minute interval Start times:
  School students, 10am to 11am
  OY  competitors, 11am to 12pm

• 30 Mar 2025. Sprint: at Green Island School, Howden St, Green Island.
  1 minute interval Start times:
  School students, from 4pm
  OY competitors, approx 4.30pm

2025 NZ Orienteering Champs ("Nationals")
